All else passes, living and not, and none of it shall stand against the trial of deep time.
Water besets rock, and then, having done, spirits itself away that no eye may see it.
Mountains shiver to fragments, soften, and flow down into the valley.
As deep time flows, without pause, without concern, without mercy.
Every bit of it is coming this way.
Water.
Self-organization.
Planar cleavage. Folded bedding.
Olivine.
Granite.
Lobate toe, ancient mud and rock flow.
Another ancient flow of mud and rocks.
Spheroidal weathering.
Milky quartz.
Slow motion.
